Happy Heart featuring SEI's Always Yours

Saturday greetings to you! I hope you are having a nice weekend so far. I have a project to share with you today featuring some SEI products.

You Make My Heart Happy featuring Always Yours by SEI designed by Rhonda Van Ginkel

My project today is a scrapbook page featuring the Always Yours Assortment Pack. By nature, this is a very romantic and pretty line. I decided to use it with some very non romantic type of photos.

I recently took my boys to the circus and they were so excited they could not behave to take a photo before it started. Since I believe that life is not all "Pinterest Perfect", I always scrap the funny and not so perfect photos too.  One of my favorite ways to show them is in a collage.

The sentiment in the heart, "You make my heart happy" was just perfect for the page. I simply trimmed it out a bit from the doily border and it took on a new crisp look. I've used a mixture of grey, cream and pink for the page.

I really like the swirl cream background paper, it is silly and fun. To soften the borders on that layer, I used a border punch only on the right and left sides.

A few pieces of Kraft Chips and Silver Glitter Dots completed the page.

April Club Q with Quick Quotes

Happy Wednesday to you!  It's my day to host the blog over at Quick Quotes.

I have a page to share created with pieces from the April Club Q Kits along with a bit of mixed media and chipboard tossed in for fun. The kit has these really fun alphas and coordinating chipboard circle frames for them. They were so cute, I decided to use them in a whimsical way for my title work.

"The Sweet Life"

I started by using a bit of white gesso, then added a bit of modeling paste using some stencils. I used a splatter stencil and also a speckles. After that dried, I rubbed some Seabrook PowderPuff Chalk Ink across the top of the speckles.

After that, I used a variety of coordinating mists colors randomly, then misted with a bit of water to let them mix together. Then I dabbed them a bit and used my heat gun to dry the paper.

The sentiment cut aparts in the kit are so cute, they were perfect for my page!  The boys were enjoying some mini donuts at the circus and what a mess. That provided the inspiration for the mixed media here... the speckles are like the bits of sugar that were all over the place.

I assembled my title, then inked the frames with a touch of Seabrook also. The outer edge of my patterned base paper was inked with Coal Miner PowderPuff Chalk Ink.

April PageMaps with BoBunny

Saturday greetings to you!

Recently, BoBunny teamed up with PageMaps for the month of April. I received an 8.5 x 11 sketch to work with and have a project inspired by it to share with you today.

I used the "Believe" collection for this page as the photos were taken at our church. I stayed pretty true to the sketch. I've also used a stickable stencil here as well as a few Glitter Pastes.

I thought it was fun to use the circular Noteworthy piece as a photo mat.

I love how the inspirational elements for this collection worked so well for my everyday theme here. For the ticket embellishment, I created it using simple piercing and notches with my Crop-a-Dile, added some lines and a little white pen to draw around the edges for definition.

Here is the sketch that I used for my project. To see more inspiration from all of the Pagemaps projects this month, click here.

This is Life featuring SEI

Tuesday greetings to you!  I have a project to share with you today that I recently created for the SEI Blog with the very hip and fresh collection named "Florets".

I wanted to work with the blue papers and circle designs in the patterns and collection and mix them up with the striped paper. For my photo collage, I used a fun mix of football photos of our youngest when he was dressing up. He just had a blast getting to wear a full uniform.

I used a bit of the Sundries (enamel dots and gems), some Washi Tape and the coordinating Florets Stickers in the design to play off of the background pattern papers and my photo. The shapes in this collection are so much fun to work with.
