A Vintage Page with UmWowStudio

1 comment:
Greetings, I was recently up on the UmWowStudio blog with a project to share.

I've been wanting to scrap this photo of my father and his sister for the longest time. When I found it again going through photos the other day, I really wanted to celebrate it.  There aren't a ton of photos of my Dad from his youth, so these are very special to our family.

I used some papers with a sepia type of feel to them. Once I selected my papers, I chose my chipboard embellishments that would fit the feel of the page. The Doilies chip was covered in a chocolate pearlescent product.  The Soar Tab was coated in gesso, then touched with a variety of pearlescent product to give a variegated feeling and match the photo.

Don't you just love those doilies?!!!

A bit of background stamping and ink droplets with a bit of cheesecloth helped pull the page together.  When I was done stamping, I added bits of Mica to the areas to create a bit of shine and texture.

UmWowStudio Products:
Butterfly Swarm Mask
Damask Mask
Flourishes One

Sidewalk Chalk Flair

What's your favorite way to honor those special photos? Thanks so much for stopping on over today and have a super scrappity weekend!

Fun Times with Rose Cafe by BoBunny

Sunday greetings to you!  I'm happy to share with you a page featuring the beautiful new Rose Cafe collection. This collection is so very versatile having beautiful designs for both feminine and masculine projects and everything in between.

The photo I'm using here is not the best quality or even a perfect image, but it's definitely our perfect "everyday - this is what you get" kind of photo. I wanted to feature it and used the Noteworthy elements of "Fun Times" tab, then also the "Documented" and "Precious Memories" were layered together and stitched to create my sentiment.

To add some interest to the blue scalloped circle, I used the Bliss Stickable Stencil and rubbed some Brilliant Blue Pearlescents. A few Double Dot Jewels in Blue Hues were added.

On the left you'll notice some of the pretty Copper Glitter Paste peeking out which was applied using the Brocade Stickable Stencil design. A hidden journalling sheet is tucked under the photo, which was adhered with dimensional squares.

I really love how the Sugar and Frost Glimmer Sprays pop from the rich background of the Espresso paper. The color combinations in this collection are so much fun, creating this project was really almost effortless.

Life is Beautiful with BoBunny!

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

I have a few cards to share with you today featuring one of the brand new collections by BoBunny called "Altitude".  It's absolutely beautiful and full of my very favorite colors, blues, aqua, vibrant eggplant and gray.

For this card, I used one of the sentiments from the piece of "Cozy" patterned paper.  I die cut a snowflake to anchor behind it and added a floral piece of bling that I cut apart.

This is a really simple design, just layering the colors and stickers from the Combo Sticker sheet.

The design of this card was built around using the Noteworthy tag and a geo symbol to create the appearance of a "flame" or candle.  I thought it made a peaceful type of scene.

The little snowflake is from the Layered Chipboard and adds just the perfect touch to the 'flame'.

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Blizzard, Bundled, Cozy, Cold Snap, Rustic, Patrol / Altitude
Stickers: 12x12 Combo Sticker / Altitude
Noteworthy: Altitude
Chipboard: Layered Chipboard / Altitude
Buttons: Altitude
Jewel Flourishes: Glaze Jewels
Jewels: Double Dot Tuxedo Jewels

If you are a fan of winter, skiing, snowman, hot chocolate or cold weather, you have got to check this pretty collection out!  I have some fun winter photos of the kids that I can't wait to scrap with this collection next!

Thanks so much for stopping on over today!  I hope you have a fabulous weekend!!!
