Celebrate Fall with UmWowStudio

No comments:
Greetings!

We recently featured the Layered Chipboard over at UmWowStudio and I wanted to share my project with you here.

I used the Sweater Weather 6x6 stack from DCWV for this card. Isn't the hombre effect so soft?  The realistic patterned paper in the leaves was so fun to use too.

I backed the open pumpkin with patterned paper and then added glossy accents to the center and let dry.  Some stickles were added to the border to emphasize the patterned paper insert.

The other pumpkin with stripes is sandwiched with some patterned paper in between the layers. A few flourishes for vines were added to the collage. I used my Copics to color the stems.

A True Love Story with BoBunny

2 comments:
Happy Tuesday!

I was recently up on the BoBunny Blog to share a home décor project featuring the beautiful Madeleine collection and our yummy mixed media products. Have you seen the glitter paste, stickable stencils, pearlescent pens and glimmer sprays yet?  Trust me... they are amazing!!!

When I was assigned the Madeleine collection to work with, I'll be honest and tell you I had a ton of ideas and had a very difficult time narrowing them down. I finally decided to use this 3 Dimensional Wall Art base (Kaisercraft) and cover it with BoBunny Madeleine goodness!

I selected one of my favorite papers from the collection, Symmetry and used it for the left two pallet boards. Then I chose Songbirds for the next, and the one on the right is Roses. Next, I used the doily from the Bliss Stickable Stencils on the upper right 2 panels using my Pearlescents in Blush and Sugar. I applied them in a layered manner to create an ombre effect.

Next I used the script Stickable Stencil from the Brocade set and applied modeling paste that I had mixed in Sugar Glimmer Spray and Silver Pearlescents to. You'll see a few splatters of Sugar Glimmer Spray as well.

Once the doily and script mediums had dried, I added the birds on top of the doily using the stencils from the Bliss set along with Glitter Paste in Silver. My collage at the bottom is titled "Be Passionate…  A True Love Story Never Ends".

Kindergarten Page with Pop Quiz

No comments:
Happy Sunday to you!

Have you seen the October sketch for the BoBunny challenge yet?  If not, you definitely want to check it out here.

I've created a page to share with you based on the sketch featuring the BoBunny "Pop Quiz" collection. Recently our youngest started Kindergarten and I just had to use his first official school photo.

I love the chipboard elements and stickers in the collection.  See the ruler, the pencil and button chipboard pieces?  The arrows and circle 1,2,3 are from the Combo Stickers.

Here I layered some of our Noteworthy elements and beneath them are the chipboard alphas which I've stitched down in a playful way.

Here's the sketch that I based the page on:

BoBunny Supplies:
Patterned Paper: Homework, Chalkboard, Library / Pop Quiz
Double Dot:  Powder Blue Journal, Berry
Stickers: Combo Sticker / Pop Quiz
12 x 12 Chipboard / Pop Quiz
Buttons  / Pop Quiz
Jewels / Double Dot Aqua Jewels
Noteworthy / Pop Quiz

Are you busy scrapping any new school photos? Thanks so much for stopping by and have a super scrappity day!!!

You and Me with a bit of UmWowStudio

No comments:
Happy Saturday and weekend to you! I have a fun little card to share with you that I recently created for UmWowStudio.

I thought it would be fun to create a mixed media card using a mask, a chipboard tag and some flair.  I've also added in other elements like cheesecloth and hemp for texture and interest

I started by using the Damask mask for my background here with some glass bead gel and let it dry.  I then sprinkled a few different mists on and let them pool up and run together a bit. After that, I took a gold mist and lightly misted all over.

There is a chipboard tag from the soar collection on the right, it's been base coated with gesso, then pearlescent pens rubbed on it to create a variegated effect.

I just love our beautiful Flair and used the "You and Me" from The 2 of Us collection as a sentiment for my card.
